Presentation

Morten Andersen works within the world of contemporary modern abstract painting. More likely a neo urban abstraction to precise the point of origin, as his art involves influences now brought on to the fine arts scene from the past three decades of urban street painting media. With this touch of new and also a similar aerosol background Morten Andersen is turning the classic non figurative into his own unique future expressions with an unseen perspective and marker work. Quickly you take note of the essentials like the crystal colourscheme which appear cold and sharp in terms of motives and pick of shade variations, along with focused sharpened up details that contrasts each other.
Graphic forms similar with hard to read lettering from past time graffy creations and handstyling appear and brings lots of energy to the front. His style is very expressive and strong with lines and patterns working almost like an abstract letter alphabet. Speaking visually in lines and strokes sort to say. A surface of transparent spheres with a watery look appear during process layering and next to thick masses of paint you have a combo that allows the viewer a sence of depth, perspective and a feel of room, brought even more to life from the energetic handstyled grid placed on top.
Every painting sets off with free extension of the mind pencil and markerwork and also ends that way, but after it's more complementing the spheres than initiating.
Crisp is key.
